SCAM !!!

I booked online on reservationseurope.com for a night in an hotel located in Damas, Syria.

I payed online the fees for one night which was 104,5€.

Reservation Europe returned me a confirmation / reservation number for my room.



When I arrived in Damas, in "Al Amer Hotel" (reservationseurope.com), they told me that they didn't knew Reservations Europe company.



So, I had to pay again the room.



When i came back from my trip to Syria (that was a great trip i recommend you), i contacted reservationseurope.com by phone, and they told me to send them by fax the receipt of the hotel in Damas, and then they will return me my money.

I send them the fax once and had no reply.



Again... I gave them a phone call, and they told me to send the fax again... what i did...

I've been waiting since 3 month and no news from that company !

No way to get back my money... A lawyer would cost me more than the price i payed.

Reservations Europe is located in greece.... what would make it very complicated to sue them.

I did this blog to inform all the future customers that this isn't a serious company and that you should book on any other plateform but not on Reservations Europe.

ADDING UNKNOWN HOTELS

I asked myself a question....

Is Reservations Europe adding hotels without asking them their authorisation ?

The Al Amer hotel owner said he doesn't know that company....

However, in Reservations Europe website the hotel is well referenced.



All the images from reservationseurope.com are taken directly from the website. Maybe if the hotel asked to be added they would have send them the source of the pictures...

Here is a snapshot of the official website of the hotel, you can see that the pictures have the same quality.



So, guess what you want...

10 Veranzerou Street, Athens
Athens 10432, Greece
Phone: 2105223211

Now, lets go to the official website of the Hotel, here is what we can find.

19 Patision and 10 Veranzerou St.,
Athens Attica 104 32, Greece
Phone: (+30) 21052431569

Strange, the address and the phone are different...

And more strange, the phone number is the owned by Reservations Europe !

I can imagine that you might make a reservation for an hotel not existing... or closed since long... it would be a good surprise during your trip, no? And how to ask for refund? this is the eternal question....

HOW TO GET REFUND ?

############## STEP 1 #################

After 3 month waiting, i'm trying again to get my money back.

Now that i build this blog, I've sended Reservations Europe a mail telling them I won't stop talking about what happend to me until they refund me back.

At the same time i launched a lawsuit with a french division specialised in internet scam.

5 minutes after sending them my mail.... I had a mail back saying they will refund me and asking me for my IBAN.

Unfortunately, I don't trust in them and will never give it.

I asked them to send me a check.

Waiting for a repply now....

During that time, the lawsuit is going on...

Lets see who will be faster !

############## STEP 2 #################

After showing reservations europe my blog and telling them i was gonna sew them, i finally got back my money. 104.5€ by check. It was a check from a bank, so no company name or people name on it. It was also send from a german banck...

First they wanted to pay me by credit card but i refuse to gave them my card number, then they said it was possible giving them my IBAN. Same, it's still dangerous, finaly they send me money by check. But i had 10€ charged by my bank for a foreign check and i asked reservationseurope to refound me the bank fees and the time spend to get back my money and also the fax and phone costs... no way...

YTB-MLM

After what i read on http://notravelmlms.blogspot.com this looks like a MLM (multi-level-marketing) network using a tool called YTB (Nasdak : YTBLA).

Or maybe..... If you go to the contact page of reservationseurope.com, you will see a link to "Hotels Worldwide" redirecting to booking.com web site... strange, no?



The logo hosted by booking.com is quite similar to the one from reservationseurope.com, so lets suppose they are affiliated with booking.com

Strange but reservationseurope.com and booking.com are working exactly the same way... meaning buying undreads of domains, making redirections etc...

Are they more than affiliated?

When you know that booking.com (the leader in booking online) is owned by Priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) you can wonder how serious are that companies if they accept to work with companies as serious as Reservations Europe...
